While thinking that cameras will tell us what we are doing in the future. I decided to make the greater public an art project using my camera. I don’t think a single person knew their picture was taken and I don’t care who they are. So I guess the feeling is mutual.

In post procedure contemplation I realized that the slide show makes the city look vibrant. People appear to be moving about their business as if nothing was out of the ordinary. However, quite the opposite was true.

Swan Quake a seminal interactive installation

Swan Quake is an interactive installation that uses video capture to put Dancers in a gaming environment created to replicate the creators life. The artists, Ruth Gibson and Bruno Martelli used Unreal Technology tools to create their 3d environments. The video capture used by their dancers was the same as that used in Lord of the Rings to create Gollum. For more on Swan Quake visit their page.
